Apple‘s Macbook Air has always been the preferred laptop for medical students because it offers the very best performance. As a medical student, you need a fast and reliable laptop that you can use comfortably for a longer period of time.

Do Medical Students Need a Laptop?

Medical students don’t really need a laptop to get started with med school. However, it can be a useful device that will make life easier during one’s MBBS journey. From converting the huge textbooks into PDFs to making PowerPoint presentations and staying up to date with the latest news in the medical field, it’s a beneficial tool to have in college.

study was conducted among the MBBS students belonging to the first, second, third, and fourth-year medical students of a medical college in North India and it was found out that about half (53.7%) of the respondents possessed a personal computer

In another study on medical students in a medical college of South India, a significant relationship was seen between the year of study and the purpose of computer and internet use. As students progress to subsequent years, the use of computers for entertainment decreased, and use for general information and thesis/research work increased.

In today’s world, the use of the Internet has become vital. With the Internet revolutionizing the medical field, medical students have much to gain from this technology.

The use of computers by medical professionals has been shown to improve the quality of care, facilitate the use of evidence-based treatment, and maintain and update knowledge over the last several decades.

As medical education in many countries around the globe becomes increasingly computerized and internet-based, there’s no doubt that computers and the internet are having a major impact.
