In this article, we’ll cover a detailed comparision between NEET 2019 and NEET 2020 including their difficulty level, paper analysis, chapter wise weightage, and marks distribution.
I’ll also be reviewing and analyzing if there were any changes in the trend of the paper overtime, that is, from 2019 to 2020.
Both NEET 2019 and NEET 2020 were held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the Government of India (GOI).
NEET entrance examination is for admission to MBBS/BDS (medical/dental courses) in recognized colleges in India as well as abroad.
Every year, the number of candidates applying for NEET UG increase by a good number. A total of 15,93,452 students had applied for NEET 2020, compared to 14,10,755 students the previous year for NEET 2019.
NEET 2019 was held on the 5th May 2019, and NEET 2020 was held on 13th September 2020.
In short, NEET 2020 paper was slightly easier when compared to NEET 2019 paper, as stated by most of the students. A rough and approximate overall difficulty, by Allen coaching institute:
